“I was absolutely delighted when I found out I had been accepted for the Area Sales Manager position for Northern England. After spending five years working for an equine & pet wholesaler I felt like it was time for a new adventure! I gained vast experience as a retail assistant and in the wholesale business as an account manager and also a buyer which is great to now use in this new role.
I cover from the top of Northumberland down to Manchester both West and East sides of the country. I like to regularly see my customers to keep them up to date with any new products and product training, along with general stock management. I love being out on the road and meeting all my customers (and their horses too!).
I have had an interest in horses from a young age and after leaving school I went on to complete my BHS exams. Once I had finished my exams I began searching for the job of my dreams and took on the role of an International Show Jumping Groom where I travelled across Europe with a string of horses keeping them fit and caring for their every need. This included going to shows such as HOYS and also grooming for the Great Britain Team at the European Championships in Belgium and Germany.
I now like to keep my horses as my hobby and spend as much time as possible with them when I’m not working. I own Whinny, a 15.2hh 13 year old TB who likes to spend her days out in the field going for the occasional hack and also taking part in the odd bit of dressage. I swear by using the PolleneX liquid to take care of her aggressive head shaking come the summer months. I also own Ruby, a 15.2hh 7 year old Sports Horse bred by Advanced Event Stallion, Primitive Faerie Tale. We are regularly out competing in both Show Jumping and Eventing. Our aim for this year is to be affiliated and start gaining extra experience and hopefully qualifications for bigger shows along the way too. So far we have been placed in unaffiliated competitions including winning two Dressage Championships. So there’s great hope for the 2015 season with the help of Supercalm to keep her mind on the ball as she likes to have a good spook at things!”
