Roo Fox Update

Chris Price

“So Burghley wasn’t to be. The gorgeous Fleet Street, aka Tigga, was wild in the dressage with excitement. We know he isn’t a dressage horse, so I didn’t feel too disappointed. We set off on the XC and despite having only jumped seven XC fences this year he was epic. We jumped all the massive XC fences and the tricky combination at the Dairy Mound and the Rolex Turn and we were only 10 seconds down on Jonelle Price (the fastest horse and rider of the day). Sadly I saw a long shot at the gate in the Maltings complex. Tiggs felt that there was another stride there, sadly he was wrong and we fell. Gutted doesn’t cover the feelings of me, my team and my family. My wonderful farrier, Matt Stamford and his wife Emma, Tigg’s physio came up to help as well so it was awful for them too. Luckily both Tig and I are fine and are planning our next adventure.

The team and I then headed off to West Wilts with Raven, Griff and Sirius to do the Novice and I managed to redeem myself. Griff came second and Sirius 4th, with raven putting in a solid performance as well.”
