Our Accreditations

Global Herbs are dedicated to providing the highest quality herbal supplements.

We are a UFAS (Universal Feed Assurance Scheme) and FEMAS (Feed Materials Assurance Scheme) accredited company.

These accreditations ensure full traceability on all of the ingredients that go into our premium herbal supplements.

In addition to UFAS and FEMAS, we adhere to the requirements of BETA NOPS, this ensures Global Herbs products are produced to the high standards for the control of Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances.

A prohibited substance is defined as, ‘any substance that can exert an effect on a horse’. Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances (NOPS) are substances which occur naturally within a raw material such as Caffeine from coffee products or Theobromine from cocoa products.

The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) developed the NOPS Code in conjunction with the BETA Feed Committee in response to an increased positive dope test for morphine in racehorses, which coincided with the increase of cultivation of morphine poppies in the UK.

Global Herbs manufactures to a strict code of feed safety. Our products are made in our licensed premises using quality assured ingredients under strictly controlled production conditions and conform to the requirements of EU and UK legislation governing the manufacture of animal feeding stuffs. Global Herbs monitors for the presence of specified naturally occurring prohibited substances (NOPS) as required under the rules of racing and other affiliated competitions which are in line with the BETA NOPS guidelines. Adherence to these guidelines ensures that the risk of occurrence of such substances is minimised.
