Rebecca Cowderoy Update – Addington Regionals

Rabbit is still performing some cracking tests for Rebecca, give or take a few baby blips!

“It was Rabbit’s big day on Sunday at the Winter Regionals at Addington. She was a complete star winning the Novice Gold on a cracking +72%. She was the youngest horse in the class but showed great maturity for her age.

I also did the Novice Gold Freestyle with her but that didn’t quite go to plan. Everything was going very well until the last minute of the test when she thought she’d done enough and tried to duck out of the arena at A… I wasn’t going to let her, and a couple of rears later and she got on with it as if it hadn’t happened! That’s young horses for you. I think she was probably a bit tired but we still managed 3rd on +71% which was fantastic considering. I was so proud of her, she really did me proud and I can’t wait for the Winter Championships at Hartpury in May. Before then she’s having a week off and then I will look to do some Elementary’s and 5yo Young Horse classes. We’ll be in this weeks Horse & Hound so look out for us!

I am on my way up to Myerscough Premier League with Lisci as I write this to do 3 classes over the next 4 days. Fingers crossed she also excels herself. I had a fantastic lesson with Rhett on Friday to help us prepare. I’m so pleased with how she’s been going and she has improved a lot since last year. I’ll just have to wait and see if tension gets the better of her as she is very sharp at the moment!”
