Rebecca Cowderoy Update

February 23, 2017 James Evans

Team GH dressage rider Rebecca had a fantastic pre-Regionals outing with Rabbit last week, and is gearing up for the Myerscough Premier League next week with Lisci.

“Wow, what a fantastic pre-Regional outing with Rabbit at Hunters on Sunday. We smashed it with an 83.03%, 1st place and a whopping 13% clear of 2nd in the Novice 37. The test sheet says it all, 4 x 10’s! You don’t get sheets like that very often! She was a superstar and also did a lovely Elementary test for her first ever one with just a few green mistakes. You would expect that for a rising 5 year old but I was delighted. I was just a bit disappointed with the mark after some extremely harsh judging, but we came 3rd in a big class. She has now qualified for Summer Novice Gold Regionals in just 3 tests. I’m very excited for Regionals and then 5 year old classes. I love this horse, she’s always a pleasure to ride and has grown up so much this year.

Before Regionals I have a lesson on Lisci with Rhett Bird to polish up a few things before Myerscough Premier League next week. This means a very busy couple of weeks for me. I am also on the reserve list for Keysoe CDI so fingers crossed I get in! That runs from 17th-19th March. Let’s hope Lisci can shine like Rabbit has been and get some great scores. Both horses really are doing me proud.”
