“It’s been a quiet few weeks at Hardie horsey headquarters. For the first time in a year I had a few days off to visit Glastonbury festival of performing arts. You’d think a life spent in wellies chasing horses about muddy fields would stand me in good stead, but it was as muddy and testing as ever! Highlight is always seeing the amazing police horses, didn’t see them this year due to mud, but caught their comings and goings!
Now I’m home, lorry has gone for his annual service and plating. Always a worrying time, hoping it’ll not be an expensive one! This has given me plenty of time at home to start on Dougal’s fitness in preparation for Gatcombe Festival of Eventing next month. This means lots of lovely hacks to our local forestry commission woodland, which is total bliss! I have also commenced trialling a few products for Global Herbs, and my biggest ‘must have’ at the minute is ‘FlyFree’. It has definitely become that time of year when we are being overrun by pesky flying creatures, and it is certainly having an effect. I also have some wound spray to try, and I am actually hoping to not need it!”
