“Rabbit was a very good girl on Sunday – she didn’t put a foot wrong! It was her first outing away from home and the arena was potentially very spooky with the jumps on the sides, mirrors and the opening where the doors are and also the rubber flicking up and hitting the sides of the arena. But she wasn’t bothered by any of it! She really was a superstar. She did get tired very quickly, as you’d expect for a rising 4yr old, but she enjoyed a nice stretch in trot at the end after giving her all. She’s got such a big engine with great push from behind. I’ve got a lesson on her and Lisci next Tuesday so I’m really looking forward to that.
Short term plan is to get Rabbit out and do a prelim at the beginning of March and if that goes well then I’ll take both her and Lisci to Myerscough Premier League. Rabbit will do the 4yr old young horse qualifier and Lisci will do a couple of Prix St Georges. Can’t wait for the season to start, fingers crossed for a good year with both horses. Rabbit was very tired at 5:45am this morning she loved having a cuddle!”
