Equine Curb, Curb in Horses

Equine curb is a form of ligament damage. The affected ligament lies just below the hock at the back of the hind leg. Swelling that results is normally permanent due to fibrous tissue being laid down but the condition usually settles down well with treatment as for other ligament and tendon damage. False curb is due to an extra large end to the nearest splint bone and is not abnormal.
