Sarc-ex tubSarc-ex
For lumps and bumps in horses
1kg, 1.2kg & 5kg tubs

Sarc-Ex provides a unique approach to those horses with skin concerns. No-one is really sure what causes such problems but they are certainly related closely to insect bites and inherent weakness in the body’s natural defences. Our new formulation is specifically designed to help support the immune system in a complete and natural way. A large proportion of the body’s defences are located in the bowels so the first aim is to support the digestive process and make sure bowel lining is as resilient as possible. The next task is to provide a nutritional base which allows the body to effectively fight abnormalities and
microorganisms at the cellular level. An ‘Echinacea free’ product.

This product is also a good calming formula and antioxidant so helps your horse feel more relaxed which again helps the immune system. You will find when feeding this formula that wounds, cuts and abrasions will often resolve more quickly.

For particularly stubborn lumps also consider using Restore liquid at the same time as Sarc-Ex.

DIRECTIONS:
Powder is mixed in with the feed at a rate of 7.5g per 100kg twice daily. This should be continued daily for 3-12 months or more depending on the individual situation of the horse concerned. Normally a 6 months supply is sufficient.

In order to adequately judge the effect of Sarc-Ex on your horse you will more than likely need to use three 1kg tubs or one 5kg tub on an average horse. WE ALSO USE A SPECIAL FORMULA SARC-50 WHICH IS ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH VETERINARY SURGEONS

Bumpy Skin
For unsightly bumps and uneven skin
1kg and 5kg tubs of powder

We find that skin bumps are increasingly common around the UK. They can occur in great number under the saddle, over the back and legs and in many other areas. The reason for their occurrence is often not understood at all and a nutritional approach with the advice of your vet is often important. Unusual reactions to certain foods or even different pasture conditions may be important. BumpySkin provides you with the most useful approach we have found over the years. It is normally best if you phone us for advice on the suitability of this blend and always make sure your local vet has given his or her full advice.

DIRECTIONS: Two blue 25ml scoops twice daily for an average horse.

LymphBlend
For puffy legs
1kg and 5kg tubs..

Any horse can get puffy legs from time to time because of changes in the way that fluid under the skin circulates. LymphBlend is designed to provide nutrition to assist the normal process in which this fluid moves around the body, especially around the legs.

If you are getting a lot of fluid accumulating after a wound, then you will need the quick input of your local vet straight away. However for general support in healthy horses and to assist the work of your local vet, with his or her permission, this formula can be very useful.

. DIRECTIONS: Two blue 25ml scoops twice daily for an average horse.

This cream works quickly and will help calm situations down in an instant. In summer use at the base of the tail root or on the mane. It is designed for use with Skratch feed supplement if there are more general concerns and contains similar herbs to Skratch. You can quickly test how it works by using on any specific itchy areas you may have yourself. As with all creams and ointments test this formula on a small area first before applying more liberally. You do not need very much of this cream to get a good result.

Minerals & Oils
Extra help with for skin

It is often useful in itchy horses to add in extra minerals in the form of GlobalViteXtra. When skin gets itchy the body often needs more zinc, copper and other nutrients which it is not possible to get from normal feeding or normal mineral supplements. The chelated minerals in the above product are essential. Good quality omega oils such as those found in FlaxOil (P82) or in SkinRite (P39) can also make a huge difference.

 Skratch tubSkratch
For all itching and great skin condition
Powder in tubs and Syrup in bottles

Skratch is perhaps the most effective supplement to help with tail, mane and skin. It soothes itching in the spring and summer season like no other formula. Helps control fies and midges and really gets to the heart of your concerns. An essential mix to use whenever your horse’s skin is a worry to you. Ask for further advice and read our leaflet – herbs for skin condition. Surprisingly Skratch is also very useful for tight chests that occur in dusty environments (combine with Zephyr).

There are four forms of Skratch
1. SuperSkratch formula. A new improved all year solution 1kg
2. Skratch Plus (severe itch formula) 500g
3. Skratch Classic (for normal everyday use) 500g
4. Skratch syrup (if your horse is a very fussy eater) 1L & 5L

Also consider using ITCH CREAM for soothing local patches of itching skin. Be aware that in a very few horses garlic can make itching worse. Do not use with FlyFree.

DIRECTIONS:
Introduce very gradually over a few days as the powders are strong formulas. Reviewthe situation after 4 weeks and if necessary continue throughout the season adjusting according to conditions.

FlyFree
Feed Supplement. Powerful nutrients that flies hate
1kg and 5kg tubs

FlyFree is perhaps the only available effective feed supplement for flies. The plant extracts in flyfree are digested and pass through the skin to create a protective shield around your horse that lasts all day. Gone are the days when you have to use sprays and other devices and toxic products that horses hate. Not only does this supplement deal with flies but it also helps with general skin condition, helps keep breathing clear and soothes membranes in the nose eyes and mouth. Even though the taste of FlyFree is quite strong horses usually eat it quite readily and flies really hate the after effects.

FlyFree is available in 1kg or 5kg sizes as you may want to get several horses on your yard using the product. Obviously once a few start using it the flies will head towards those horses that are left that smell a bit more attractive.

In some very difficult situations you may also want to use our Deflect Cream or KFO spray which are kind and gentle products. ItchCream can be used for horse fly bites if they do occur and for midge worry in difficult individuals.

It is unlikely that you will need any Skratch if you are using FlyFree.

DIRECTIONS:
For an average horse use 2 level blue 25ml scoops twice daily. This amount can be increased or decreased within reason - phone for advice first.
