The way that your horse makes use of the food that you give it
lies at the heart of performance, health and fitness. A healthy
liver and normal digestive system impart vitality and energy to
other parts of the body and enable the body get rid of toxins and
undesirable chemicals that often lead to ill health, lethargy and
poor performance. Other herbal products can do their work much
better when the digestive system is working normally. In
particular use RESTORE to prepare your horse for any herbal health
regime or routinely supplement with RESTORE throughout the year.

A liver tonic which revives, helps with movement, and supports general condition and brightness. Results seen in
a few days. This formula often enriches the colour of a horse’s coat as the digestion
improves. Use if you want your horse to look like and be a ‘picture of health’.
Feed to horses that are in poor condition or are listless despite good feeding
and worming. We recommend a regular course every 2-3 months for competing
horses and the elderly. For those those horses that need constant help it can be
used continuously. Restore can help with changes of feed, and is an excellent
aid to convalescence, the work of your vet and for generally assisting energy and
performance. Restore is often essential in support of our other herbal products as it
aids the digestion and absorption. Ask advice and TRY RESTORE FIRST. For quick
action and palatability use the liquid form. Some customers prefer our powdered form
although it is less palatable.

Herbal Balance
The Feed Balancer
250g, 500g and 1kg powder in tubs. See label for complete
directions.
Balancing
digestion is very important to your horse.
HerbalBalance
is a concentrated formula which supplies the micronutrients that
your horse needs while also providing herbs to help the
microorganisms in the gut work effectively. This combined
approach to feeding enables your horse to thrive, flourish and
stay fit and healthy. The herbs we use in this formula act as
prebiotics which often work a lot more effectively than
probiotics - see below.
HerbalBalance
can be used to maintain horses in top condition but also to help
revive those that are a little under the weather or in poor
condition. It is great for horses that may be losing a little
weight or have become a little anxious or perhaps are not eating
well. Also use HerbalBalance whenever you suspect digestion is
not perfect.
WHAT IS A
PREBIOTIC? A prebiotic is a product that helps the good
microorganisms in the bowel work better and outgrow less
desirable ones. A probiotic replaces the bad bacteria that may
be growing in the bowel with harmless ones. We find that
prebiotics have a more profound and beneficial effect than
probiotics.

Acid-X
The herbal stomach soother
1kg tubs
This new formula is a purely herbal way of maintaining normal stomach function in horses that eat relatively high
levels of grain and concentrate feed. Of course it is unnatural for horses to eat large amounts of grain or manufactured feed and this does tend
to upset the way that their stomachs work. Research has shown that up to 70% of
competition horses and 95% of racehorses which are fed concentrates need help in
this way. Such horses usually have a much better time when they are turned out to
grass and are able to select more natural food. Acid-X works to maintain normal acid production in the stomach. The stomach is
the place where the digestion process starts inside the body and discomfort in this
areas can make horses behave quite strangely. If you also want help with the rest
of the digestive tract consider our prebiotic (more effective than probiotics) formula
Prebioherb.
Acid-X can be fed throughout the year if concentrates have to be fed. At the start of
a course high levels are needed to maintain comfort. Later on it is likely that the level
of feeding can be reduced.
DIRECTIONS:
To start use two blue 25ml scoops twice daily. Use at this level for two months and
then phone us to discuss at what level to continue.

Black Salt
The digestive calmer
2kg tubs
Vit lavana (Black Salt) is the salt used in the famous traditions
of Ayurveda (The science of life in India). Sambar rock salt is heated in an earthenware pot to which herbs such as
Terminalia chebula are added. It contains small natural amounts of trace elements
such as iron, magnesium and copper and is carminative and tonic to the digestive
system, replacing salt lost in exercise and adding trace elements essential for normal
health and fitness. Make sure your horse is getting all it needs with BLACK SALT.
Give a good pinch in the food once or twice daily. Black Salt provides an easy way to give your horse those extra minerals he or she
needs but also more importantly soothes those horses prone to repetitive abdominal
discomfort. IN CASES OF COLIC CALL YOUR VET IMMEDIATELY.

ClearOut
For clean, comfortable bowels
500g & 1kg tubs
The Psyllium in ClearOut is an excellent bowel cleanser helping keep your horse clear of build up of undesirable
material which can cause discomfort and concern. It is used by many vets in the UK when sand & debris build up
in the bowel and can be used each year or more regularly throughout the year to ensure total comfort.
The husk of this plant swells to form a gel which can help soothe bowels and enable
sand and other material to be passed in the droppings. It is useful in times of bowel
stagnation or looseness and maintains normal function in a wide variety of
situations. Many horse owners testify to the difference Psyllium has made to their horses which
regularly experience times of discomfort.
DIRECTIONS:
20g per 100kg bodyweight in feed for 5 days. Lower levels can be
used for longer periods to help in long term problems. Fennel is also very useful
to help calm the abdomen and help your horse cope with build up of gases. If you
suspect COLIC always contact your vet.

Fennel
For fussy eaters or those prone to gas
1kg tubs of seed
Fennel seeds have a relaxing effect if stomach and digestion is
gassy or uncomfortable. They can also help with appetite and maintain milk production especially in the first days following foaling. It is traditionally
used in gripewater for human babies. Horses know when they need fennel. Offer a
handful and see the difference when they are feeling uncomfortable.
DIRECTIONS:
2-5g per feed two or three times daily.
NB Please consult a vet if your horse has colic or if concerned that your horse
may have colic

Prebioherb
A prebiotic for appetite
10g sachets and 1kg tubs
WHAT IS A PREBIOTIC? A prebiotic is a product that helps the ‘good’
bacteria in the guts grow better thus ‘pushing’ the ‘bad’ bacteria out. This
is different from a PRObiotic which merely replaces the ‘bad’ bacteria with ‘good’
bacteria. ‘Bad’ bacteria start multiplying too much when our horses eat too much
rich food or get a stomach upset. Many horses and people have a poor balance of
bacteria in their bowels and are therefore not as generally healthy as they could be.
Prebioherb as a prebiotic is therefore often more useful than a probiotic. It supports
natural microorganisms in the gut and makes horses feel like eating more. Try feeding
with molasses and see the results. Good for mild bowel upsets and helps horses feel
more comfortable. Use routinely to maintain good bowel function.
DIRECTIONS:
1 sachet per horse per day in the feed for 3 days. Then maintain at
one sachet daily or every second day.
MAIN CONTENTS:
Zingiber Officinale, Picrorhiza kurroa, Balanites roxburgii, Andrographis paniculata, Terminalia chebula, Eclipta alba, Acorus
calamus, Commiphora mukul, Piper longum, Piper nigrum, Woodifordia fruticosa, Swertia chirata, Azadirechta
indica. Trigonella foenum graecum, Calotropis procera, Tinospora
cordifolia.

RagAid
Nutritional Support for Ragwort concerns

1l and 5l bottles of liquid.
RagAid is a
powerful aid to maintaining liver cells in top working order.
Traditionally used as a liver tonic, this improved formula can
be used all year round if you are not sure whether your horse is
in danger or not. It can also be used when you know your horse
has been affected by Ragwort and is under supervision of your
local vet. You do not need to use Restore detoxifier when you
use this product. RagAid contains milk thistle together with
many other herbs that are even more useful for the liver.
We also
advise you to use ClearOut formula if you know that your horse
has eaten Ragwort. This helps remove plant material from the
bowels. If you do not do this there is a chance that the Ragwort
can remain inside your horse for many months and continue to be
dangerous.
Ragwort is
at its most dangerous when dried and accidentally mixed with
hay. Fresh ragwort tastes unpleasant to a horse but when dried
it is easily eaten by mistake.
DIRECTIONS:
Feed
15-50ml twice daily as on label or as instructed by our staff.
Although RagAid produces quick results it is most effective if
used for 3-6 months. It can also be use used permanently if
danger is frequently present.
MAIN CONTENTS:
Terminalia chebula, Andrographis paniculata, Sida Cordifolia,
Eclipta alba, Swertia chirata, Silybum marianum (Milk Thistle)
