How to tell which breathing formula to Use

For good breathing we have found from experience that individual horses respond better when they are fed one of either Zephyr or AirwayPlus. Often the only way of really telling which is going to work best is to try and see. Broadly we can tell you which we think is most likely to be suitable but if you would like to be more absolutely sure you could try the technique below which may well help. In order to try this approach you will need a pack of both Zephyr and AirwayPlus.

Stand next to your horse and place one packet of either formula on your horses back between the shoulder blades with your hand firmly on the top. Hold your other hand straight out as in the picture and get a friend to test out the muscle strength in this other arm by attempting to push it down towards the opposite knee as in the picture. When the arm is weak the formula is not very suitable for your horse. When the arm muscle is strong (or normal) the formula will do your horse a lot of good. The success of this technique shows you how important the energetics of plants and animal bodies are. If a horse has a normal chest your arm will have its normal strength – it is the weakness in the horse that makes your own muscles work less effectively. Some people may find it difficult to use these ideas at first without expert advice but it is worth having a go. You do have to get the position of the herbs on the back right.

This technique was first used by Catriona Bowmer one of our therapists near Derby. If you would like to contact Catriona about it we can give you her details when you phone up. Similar techniques can be used to decide about for all kinds of issues but you do need to be trained properly to use the idea effectively.
